Yes, we can bring Webpass to your building if it was built after 1995 and has at least 20 units. Typically it takes 30-60 days to bring our network into a new residential building. Once the property is on our network, residents can typically schedule an installation for the next day.

Webpass installs service at no cost to the property owner in buildings with 50 units or more.
- How long does it take to bring Webpass to my building?
Typically it takes 30-60 days once the ROE (Right of Entry) is signed by the Owner or HOA.
These are the 3 steps to bring our network to your building.
1. Schedule A Site Survey
A Webpass representative will come to your site and determine if we can add your property to our network. Webpass will need access to the roof of the property, the telephone riser pathway, and a typical telecom closet. The entire process takes about 45 minutes and you will get a technical yes or no answer before the Webpass representative leaves the property. Call 415-233-4100 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a survey.
2. Obtain Right of Entry
The property owner or manager must sign a Webpass Right of Entry (ROE) to allow Webpass to install our system at the property. The ROE is a one simple one page document which you can download here.
3. Install Webpass Equipment
Webpass will schedule the equipment installation with the property manager. Typically installation takes a few days of work inside the property. Webpass will install a new radio on the roof , data cables from the antenna to the top floor telecom closet, and Ethernet equipment in the top floor telecom closet, and a data cable from our equipment to your suite. The work is limited to these areas and will not disturb other tenants in the property.
- My building is less that 15 years old but I have less than 20 units. Can you make an exception?
Unfortunately we cannot make exceptions to the requirements. These are the standard rules to bring in Webpass to a building.
- I can't get Webpass to my building. Can you recommend some other ISP providers?
There are plenty of companies trying to sell you Internet service! However we don’t recommend any other ISPs.

It’s not profitable for Webpass to offer the service in buildings with less than 20 units.
- Is Webpass a wireless service?
Webpass Internet service is delivered as Ethernet. If you want wireless, simply connect a wireless router to the Webpass jack.
- How does it work?
A Webpass technician installs a data jack in the unit. Plug in your computer, laptop or wireless router with the ethernet cable to the Webpass jack and you are instantly online.
- What speeds are available to my unit?
Webpass offers speeds of 100 and 200 Mbps. The speed you receive is based on the building you live in.
- Do I need a router?
A router is not required to connect to Webpass. However, a router does provide another layer of security to protect your computers from unauthorized access.
- I need Wi-Fi in the unit. Does Webpass provide wireless routers?
Webpass does not provide wireless routers. You can purchase your own wireless router and our technicians can help set it up for you on the day of the installation.
- What wireless routers do you recommend?
Technology is constantly changing, but currently you will get the best wireless performance with a “N” standard wireless router.
(Not all routers are created equal. Most are designed for DSL or Cable, and will create a performance bottleneck with a service as fast as ours. Here is a chart measuring the throughput performance of popular routers. The routers at the top of the chart will give you the best performance.)
- Do I need a modem?
Webpass does not use modems like DSL or cable based Internet services. To connect to the Internet simply plug your computer to the data jack in your unit with an Ethernet Cable.

Yes, the Webpass technician provides you with an 10 foot Ethernet cable free of charge on the day of the installation.
- Will Webpass provide me with an email account after I sign up for service?
No. Webpass does not provide you with an email account. If you have an email account with your previous Internet service provider, consider using a free ISP independent e-mail service like Hotmail, Yahoo, GMail, Mac, or similar service.
- Does Webpass provide a phone or television service?
Webpass exclusively offers Internet service. However many customers have migrated both phone and TV service to Internet based services like VoIP, Roku, Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu Plus, etc.
- Do I need a phone line to install Webpass?
No! Webpass Internet service is completely independent from your phone line, so no service from the phone company is necessary.
